In Memoriam-Oscars

Queen Latifah sang a perfect song in honor of the academy members that have passed on.

Oh Man I WILL REALLY MISS- BERNIE MAC. I have you tivo'd so I always have you in my tool box when I am in need of a serious laugh. why did you have to go upstairs when we need you here?
Paul Newman those blue eyes..
and a quote from his movies..
The big difference between people
is not between the good and the evil,
the rich and the poor,
the biggest difference is between those that have had pleasure in love and those that haven't.
Back to the song,
the song is haunting....
here's why.
When I was cleaning out my Mom's apartment after she died,
there was a side room and in it was a cassette tape player
I decided to press play and here is what I heard......

I'll be seeing you
In all the old familiar places
That this heart of mine embraces
All day through.

In that small cafe;
The park across the way;
The children's carousel;
The chestnut trees;
The wishin' well.

I'll be seeing you
In every lovely summer's day;
In every thing that's light and gay.
I'll always think of you that way.

I'll find you
In the morning sun
And when the night is new.
I'll be looking at the moon,
But I'll be seeing you.

I'll be seeing you
In every lovely summer's day;
In every thing that's light and gay.
I'll always think of you that way.

I'll find you
In the morning sun
And when the night is new.
I'll be looking at the moon,
But I'll be seeing you.

So in that moment I felt somehow ,
by purpose or coincidence
we were together in spirit
My Mom
My Dad
and I
because that was cued up in the cassette player.
so now whenever I hear that song I feel like it's a wink from above
Love you mom
Love you dad

Just has Queen Latifah's voice over the montage -- no shots of ther singing, no applause. But beautiful.
