Slum Dog Actor Beaten By Father

I feel like I can hear him crying......

After being treated like a prince in Hollywood,this is the life he had to come back to.
These horrifying images show ten year old Azharuddin Mohammed after he was slapped and kicked by his father, Ismail, because he refused to be put on display like a trophy.
According to The Sun:
His mother cried out for him to stop, but Ismail continued to dish out the physical punishment to the child-star.

Azharuddin stood up to his dad, flaring the temper of the 45-year-old, who launched himself at the boy shamelessly.

Azharuddin yelped out as he tried to evade the older man's flailing hands and feet.



He dashed into the tent that makes up his family home, followed by his father, where the young Slumdog star tried to cower in the corner.

Azharuddin grabbed his face in pain and then ran off to cry.

“Azharruddin’s father was upset that he was asking to be left alone because he was tired,” said one shocked onlooker.



“He didn’t attend school today so that he could recover from his long flight from LA and simply wanted all the attention to stop.

“However, when Azharuddin put his foot down and said that was it and there was to be no more talking, Ismail just flipped.

“It was like a scene out of Slumdog Millionaire.”

Talking only moments before his father’s attack, Azharuddin spoke of his tiredness due to the long flight.

“I do not want to speak today to any reporters,” he said.

Slum Dog Kids

As I mentioned before the kids from Slum Dog Millionaire still live in the slums.
Azharuddin Ismail Shaikh Usman and Rubina Rafiq Asghar Ali Qureshi are residents of Garib Nagar a slum in Bandra East, Mumbai. They played the youngest version of the lead characters in the Oscar-winning film and were flown to the US for Hollywood's biggest awards ceremony on Sunday.

Upon their return Mumbai Congress president Kripashankar Singh said , "These children have brought laurels to the country. It is our duty to look after and safeguard them."

He is proposing to give the children a place to live.

Singh said he would meet Chief Minister Ashok Chavan Tuesday evening and initiate the process. Also, he urged Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) chairman Amarjit Singh Manhas to take up the issue on a priority basis.

The Capital Markets Subcommittee Chair, Rep. Paul Kanjorski of Pennsylvania, tells C-Span how the world economy almost collapsed in a matter of hours.
He says the Federal Reserve noticed a "tremendous draw-down of money market accounts in the United States, to the tune of $550 billion dollars." According to Kanjorski, this electronic transfer occured over the period of an hour or two."

"The Treasury opened its window to help. They pumped a hundred and five billion dollars into the system and quickly realized that they could not stem the tide. We were having an electronic run on the banks. They decided to close the operation, close down the money accounts, and announce a guarantee of $250,000 per account so there wouldn't be further panic and there. And that's what actually happened. If they had not done that their estimation was that by two o'clock that afternoon, five-and-a-half trillion dollars would have been drawn out of the money market system of the United States, would have collapsed the entire economy of the United States, and within 24 hours the world economy would have collapsed."

It's a knight in "dirty armor" movie.
It's a crazy rags, hags, hit me, scare me, fight for it, to riches story.
It's a metaphor for, that- which- does -not -kill -you- only -makes- you- stronger, story.
Beautifully shot ,
Imagery that takes your attention away from the dialogue.
and dialogue that takes your attention away from the imagery.
Worth a second look.
And lastly I'm blown away by the concept of this movie,
I would love to have a story inside of me ,

George Bush once locked Colin Powell out of a meeting for being late.

President Barrack Obama said recently, "sorry we are running a little bit late"
He kept the Senate waiting while he was meeting with House represenatives to ensure the economic stimulus bill would pass.

And then there's the dress code.
Former President Bush would not allow anyone into the Oval Office without a Jacket.
Rebublican Strategist Mathew Dowd said,
"There were times when I came in jeans and a Jacket and it was almost as if I'd broken some national security secret.
I was violating an unwritten rule and it was made very clear to me that that's not the way it was supposed to be."

I love , yet at the same time can't believe that our President said, "I want to give a shout out....." REALLY? our president is that current? It's kind of creepy in a I-can't-believe- it - kind-of -way.
I love his ease , and relaxed demeanor. I love the access the press has had. I love his smile in a time when he faces huge challenges. I love that on day number???? so far he hasn't changed much and he is working hard to fufill the promises he made on the campaign trail.

I like that you can see the influence growing up in Hawaii has had on him. I think that is a huge positive.
and let me state clearly,
this is
not to say the Obama team does not work hard,
I'd say they work smart.
